The Badman, is moored at Town of Newfane Marina, which is located in the village of Olcott, New York

IMPORTANT: There is a fishing license outlet within walking distance of the marina. Otherwise, the quickest way to obtain license is to purchase it on-liine.

Motion Sickness

It is client responsibility, if you or any individual is prone to motion sickness, it oftentimes helps for that person to begin taking their pills (Dramamine, Bomine, etc,) up to 24 hours in advance in order to get the medication into the system. If patches are used, follow the doctors instructions when taking.

Also as a precaution the evening before and the morning of the trip, refrain from alot of alcohol and greasy foods. Try and eat drier, more digestible foods.

There is plenty of available storage on board the Badman If you think you need it, bring it along! Particularly during cool weather periods, bring extra cloths and rain gear.

Departure times

We recommend an early departure for more productive fishing. Our normal morning departure time is 5:30 to 6 am. Times can also be arranged on an individual basis. Plan to be at the boat at least an 30 minutes before departure.

Please only Soft Soled Shoes! NO HARD SOLES, WORK BOOTS OR ANY FOOTWEAR THAT WILL MARK OR LEAVE STREAKS will not be permitted. This is for your safety.

Things to Bring on your charter

Hats, your sunglasses and sun protection,
Food, any Snacks & Beverages (Please keep all beverage containers to plastic and cans. Hard liquor not permitted on board)

Ice chest/cooler, .... to take all those salmon home in! There is a fish cooler already in the boat.
Rain Gear & Suitable Clothing (not enough room to sit under the soft top!
Motion sickness medication (Be smart about this, because it can ruin yor trip, ..... fast. I want everyone well
Camera for your on-board photos
New York Fishing license (very important)

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Trips can be forced to cancel due to bad weather. Your deposit can be refunded or the fishing trip can be reschedule to a date at your convenience. Your deposit is refundable with 21 days advance notice of cancellation. The captain will make all weather decisions.

Capacity

Lake Ontario Charters prefer 4 persons, but can accommodate groups up to six individuals.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

At no time will any illegal drugs be allowed on The Badman. In the event of possession, discovery or use of these items, the fishing trip will be terminated immediately and all passengers will be taken back to dock. Use or possession of illegal drugs by individual(s) will require the trip to be paid in full for that day as a result of clients own decision to have illegal substances on board a zero tolerance vessel.
