1) The smallmouth opener is the 4th Saturday in June and begin the season using soft baits and limited live bait.
2) Find your trophy smallmouth in shallow water and experience little fishing pressure.
3) Fish late season in September thru October. Fish can be found at any depth. Use live bait and limit artificially. This is when Lake Erie's smallmouth bass are their biggest!!
