Lake Erie smallmouth bass around Pelee Island and Canadian reefs. A proven fishing hotspot. The smallmouth opener is the 4th Saturday in June and begin the season using soft baits and limited live bait. Find your trophy smallmouth in shallow water and experience little fishing pressure. Fish late season in September thru October. Fish can be found at any depth and battle these heavy weight footballs! Use live bait and limited artificial. This is when Lake Erie's smallmouth bass are their biggest!! With the exception of soft-shelled crayfish for smallmouth bass, all bait, lures, and even tackle, are provided by Badman Charters. There are never any hidden costs when you charter with us.
For serious Smallmouth Bass anglers or first- timers, during the month of July limited live bait is used, ... strictly artificial's can be used! Take the Badman to Pelee Island, purchase a one-day Canadian fishing license. For the more serious angler, you can book combination Walleye/Bass charters. These trips are extended to provide groups with a guaranteed 10 hours fishing time to allow for angling of both species. Reservations for extended combination trips will begin booking in mid-May
