Lake
Erie Walleye fishing
Walleye limit is 6 each day per angler!
Badman Charters season begins as early as mid-April, weather permitting.
Limited pre-spawn action for big female Walleye precedes hot action of the reefs during
April, with post spawn activity usually beginning around third week of April and going
strong well into the middle to end of May. The hottest periods are June and
July. From then on, Walleye activity continues to improve
all summer long.
I do what it takes to put fish in the boat while you are on your
trip! On our charters, we can use jigs, cast weight forward spinners,
harnesses or troll.
Being a multi-presentation charter, we are very versatile, which translates
into more fish. All bait and tackle are provided for your use.
Trophy walleye charters mean spring and
fall!

|
Spring Walleye
Fishing
Walleye fishing begins just after the ice melts and
the winter temperatures begin to fade. April begins the hunt for the trophy
walleye of your dreams and runs thru early June.
|
|
|
Summer Walleye
Fishing
June thru the end of
August. Walleye fishing during the summer is probably the most consistent
for average size eaters to even some trophy sized walleyes. Both
drifting and trolling techniques will work equally as well.
This is when the Canadian fishing around Pelee Island really takes off!
Go to Canadian waters
around Pelee and catch some truly large trophy walleyes. Any method
works, trolling or drifting. It's only a matter of choice with which
method to use. Shallow water reef structure, light pressure, is where the
best action can be found.
|
|
Fall Walleye Fishing
Starts in late August and is not to be overlooked
either as it produces some of the largest catches of the year. Drifting
often works, but trolling is still the most consistent method for taking trophy
walleye and larger numbers of them.

Lake
Erie Yellow Perch
Yellow Perch
limit is 25 each day per angler!
|
|

Perch
fishing is good all year long! Most day limits were taken in 5 to 6
hrs. Fish in the 8"- 10" range were very common, with most spring and
late
summer-fall thru fall catches, some fish showing up to 12-14
inches.
|
Yellow
perch bite very light and it may take a novice awhile to get the hang of
it. Many days we get on a "hot" bite and fish go into the cooler
as fast as you can reel them in, re-bait and get your line back to the
fish. So, if you are a novice or experienced angler and enjoy fishing for
perch and wish to do it on a Lake Erie perch charter give me a call.
Throughout
Lake Erie, yellow perch tend to be found near or on the lake bottom. We
fish perch with minnows on spreaders or perch rigs. Varying the
bait on or near the bottom and jigging up and down results in the best catches.
Lake
Erie perch fishing is
second to none and what better way to enjoy a day on the great lakes than a Lake
Erie perch charter. These tasty fish provide good family and charter
fishing fun. All bait and tackle are provided for your use.
